BLE Events Callback? Or Reset Button in App?

I have a device based on the Cypress PSoC 4 BLE Pioneer Kit , which has been a trial-by-fire crash-course in learning about the BLE stack. One thing I learned about is BLE event callbacks, meaning if something changes in the status of the BLE connection, e.g. disconnects, write requests and so on, t...

Re: RFduino to Javascript

Hmmm, I had written a response to this but must have forgoten to hit Submit... Check out the work done by marc.graham in this thread . In that thread I note that I had also successfully read data from the RFduino by modifying the the Arduino BLE example app (based on the RedBearLabs BLE Shield, not ...

Re: I modified the rfduino sample app.

I got pretty much everything I needed to code the RFduino from this blog post . There are probably some other changes I don't recall but the main difference is, where the example code says... Serial.begin(115200); // Arduino code for starting the serial port Serial.println ( measure() - tare ); // A...

Re: Is evothings right for me ?

If I understand correctly, Marco is asking if Evothings can build an Android widget as well as an app . The difference is that an app simply has a static icon with which you can launch the app, but a widget has an icon that can show some dynamic content such as weather, battery level etc. I will let...

Re: Any good editors?

I use Notepad++ for most of my code editing unless there is a need for a specific IDE.

Re: I modified the rfduino sample app.

Finally got a brief look at your github repository for the RFduino, and it reminded me that I hacked my app out of the original Arduino BLE app, which itself was based on the RedBearLabs BLE Shield, not the RFduino. I will definitely look more into your example in the coming week or so since tighter...

Re: I modified the rfduino sample app.

I've been doing some work with Evothings and RFduino in recent weeks, using it to read a load cell and display the weight on my Nexus 7. I will give your code a look over the weekend and see if you did anything differently/better than I did. Don [edited for spelling] http://donpancoe.com/shared/Evot...

Re: Evothings, Android and Ad-Hoc Wi-Fi

Thanks for pointing out the possibility to use a web server to host the Evothings Client app. It works for me quite easily and well. Between that and laptop Wi-Fi tip I posted above, I should be able to do almost everything I need until the Client app is able to save the html/css/js files itself. Th...

Re: Evothings, Android and Ad-Hoc Wi-Fi

I realize the video linked above is pretty long, so I will try to summarize... This method uses the Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter included with Windows 7 and 8. It is intended primarily for developers so it is not well-documented for users. You have to configure it from the command line us...
